Brand families: parent brands and sub-brands, linked
Show how your brands fit together. In Melon Cut Guidelines each brand has its own guidelines, and a parent link ties them into a family: the parent lists its sub-brands, each sub-brand shows what it is part of, and sister brands appear as related brands.

Brand families, step by step
Create each brand
Give every brand, product line or venture its own guidelines, handle and visibility.
Set the parent
On each sub-brand's Brand tab, choose its parent brand.
Publish
The parent's page lists its sub-brands, each sub-brand shows Part of with the parent's logo, and brands that share a parent appear as Related Brands.
Brand architecture people can see
Groups, holding companies and growing businesses often have a master brand with products or ventures under it. Melon Cut shows that structure on the brands' own pages, so a visitor can move from the parent to any sub-brand and back.
- Part of: the parent company, with its logo, on each sub-brand
- Sub-brands: listed on the parent's page
- Related Brands: the other brands under the same parent
Each brand stays itself
Every brand in a family keeps its own logos, colours, fonts, foundation and address. Visibility is set per brand, so a sub-brand can stay private while its parent is public.
Priced per brand
Each brand has its own plan. You can own up to 10 brands on Free and upgrade only the ones that need public guidelines and a custom address. Prices are on the pricing page.
One studio for the whole family
In Melon Cut Design, each request can name a different brand by its @username. Posts for the parent and for each sub-brand follow their own guidelines and carry their own real logo.
