Melon Cut Design

Social media video maker for Reels, TikTok and stories

Pick Social media video and every clip comes out vertical, 1080 × 1920 and about 10 seconds long, paced to hook viewers from the first moment. Words, logos and faces stay clear of the spots where Reels and TikTok put their own buttons and captions.

How it works

Social media video maker, step by step

  1. Choose Social media video

In a video chat, pick the Social media video format. The shape and size are set for you.

  2. Describe the clip

Say what it promotes and what should happen. The video is paced hook first, so the opening seconds carry the point.

  3. Download and post

Download the video and upload it to Reels, TikTok or your stories, with your caption.

Vertical, full screen, ready to upload

Short-form video is watched upright on a phone. Every social media video is 1080 × 1920, the 9:16 shape that Reels, TikTok and stories fill the screen with, so there is nothing to crop or reframe before you post.

A safe zone for vertical video

Vertical video apps cover parts of the screen with their own interface: the account name, the caption, the music line and the buttons. Melon Cut keeps words, logos and faces 8% from the sides, 14% from the top and 20% from the bottom, where most of those controls sit.

Hook first

People decide in a moment whether to keep watching. Social media videos are paced hook first, with the most interesting part at the start rather than after an intro, and run about 10 seconds unless you ask for a different length.

A set of videos in one plan

Ask for several - "three vertical videos, one per product" - and they arrive as Vertical video items in a plan, each with a caption. Attach product photos and each video can be made from the pictures it needs.

FAQ

Social media video maker: questions

Can't find your answer? See every question.

What size should a Reel or TikTok video be?

1080 × 1920 pixels, a vertical 9:16. Every Melon Cut social media video is made at that size.

Why is the bottom safe area bigger?

The bottom of a Reel or TikTok holds the caption, the account name, the music line and buttons. Keeping words and logos 20% from the bottom stops them disappearing under all that.

Can my logo appear in the video?

Yes. When you make a video from pictures with your brand added, it gets a generated opening frame and an end card with your real logo in the centre.
