Brand management for companies with several brands
A group with several brands needs each one kept distinct and all of them kept current. Melon Cut Guidelines gives every brand its own guidelines and links them into a family, and Melon Cut Design makes content for whichever brand you name.
- address and plan per brand
- 1
- foundation kinds, each with per-market versions
- 16
- filters on every asset library: Market and Tag
- 2
Sounds familiar?
- Sub-brands drifting away from the parent's standards
- Markets that need the same message said differently
- Old identities still circulating after a rebrand
- Agencies on different brands working from different files
What you can make
- A parent brand page that lists every sub-brand, each with its logo
- Per-market versions of the brand promise for each country
- An asset library filtered by market, so each country downloads only its own files
- A rebrand published as a new identity, with the old one kept on the History timeline
- Launch posts for three sub-brands made in one afternoon, each named by its @username
How multi-brand companies use Melon Cut
Give each brand its guidelines
Create a brand for the parent and for each sub-brand, with its own assets, foundation, handle and visibility.
Link the family
Set the parent on each sub-brand, and the pages show Part of, Sub-brands and Related Brands.
Make content per brand
In Melon Cut Design, name the brand you are working on by its @username, and switch by naming another.
Distinct brands, one family
Each brand keeps its own logos, colours, fonts, foundation, visibility and address, so a product brand can look nothing like the group if that is the plan. The family links show how they connect: a sub-brand shows the parent it is part of, and the parent lists its sub-brands.
Markets inside each brand
Define the markets a brand works in and assign assets, foundation values and systems to them. Write per-market variants where the words must change, and let people filter the asset library by market so each country takes only what applies to it.
Priced brand by brand
Each brand has its own plan. Keep smaller brands on Free - you can own up to 10 there - and upgrade the brands that need public guidelines and a custom address. Prices are on the pricing page.
The features they use most
- Brand guidelines Brand families Parents, sub-brands and related brands, linked on every page.
- Brand guidelines Brand asset library Libraries of every brand asset, filtered by market and tag.
- Brand guidelines Brand history Every identity on a timeline, with the current one marked.
- On-brand content On-brand AI images Your guidelines and your real logo on every picture.
- Brand guidelines Brand systems Complete looks: 10 colour slots, 3 fonts and 4 logos.
Can each brand have its own visibility?
Yes. Visibility is set per brand, so the group can be public while an unreleased brand stays private, open only to people who have its link.
How are several brands priced?
Per brand. Each brand has its own plan, you can own up to 10 on Free, and you pay only for the brands you upgrade; see the pricing page.
Can we make content for each of our brands in Melon Cut Design?
Yes. Name a brand with published guidelines by its @username in the Brand chip, and the results follow that brand's guidelines and carry its real logo.
People also ask
- Brand guidelines How do I manage several brands in one place? Give each brand its own guidelines - its own logos, colours, fonts and rules - and keep them all in one tool, so switching is quick and nothing gets mixed up. Link related brands, such as a parent company and its sub-brands, so people can move between them. In Melon Cut Guidelines every brand has its own page, and Melon Cut Design generates for any of them by @username.
- Pricing and credits Is Melon Cut Guidelines free? Yes. Melon Cut Guidelines has a Free plan for every brand you create: you build private guidelines in the editor, and they work with Melon Cut Design. You can own up to 10 brands on Free. Paid plans are priced per brand and add public guidelines and a custom username and address, such as meloncut.com/yourbrand.
- Social media How do I keep social media posts on-brand? Write the rules down and apply them every time: the same colours, fonts, logo placement and tone of voice on every post. Brand guidelines make that possible. In Melon Cut, publish your guidelines in Melon Cut Guidelines, then type your brand's @username in Melon Cut Design: its colours, fonts and style guide every post, and your real logo file is placed on it.
