Where to put it, how big, and how see-through.
Choosing position, size and opacity
Use the same position, size and opacity on every photo so the watermark looks deliberate. A logo file with a transparent background sits more cleanly than one on a white box.
- Position: a corner keeps the subject clear; the centre makes the photo harder to reuse
- Size: big enough to read on a phone, small enough not to distract
- Opacity: partly transparent marks the photo without hiding it
A watermark or a placed logo?
A watermark sits on top of a finished photo. When you make on-brand pictures in Melon Cut Design with your brand's @username, your real logo is placed for you instead: the variant that stands out best against the background, never recoloured or stretched, inside the safe area.
